As a result of operative-search measures undertaken on the basis of operational data obtained by the RA National Security Service, a case of organizing illegal migration from RA to Europe was detected. In particular, it was established that the owner and director of one of the travel agencies operating in Yerevan, A. D., and an employee of the same company, Ye. Kh., by prior agreement, as part of a group for mercenary reasons for the amount of 3.300 euros, by presenting forged document and false information in order to obtain the appropriate permission of entry and stay in a foreign state organized the illegal migration of a resident of Tavush province, S.T.

Based on the factual data obtained as a result of the operative-search measures taken, a report on an apparent crime was submitted to the Main Department for the Investigation of Crimes against the State, the Foundations of the Constitutional Order and Public Security of the Investigative Committee of RA. At the same time, based on the immediately arising reasonable suspicion of committing a crime, A.D. and Ye.Kh. were detained and taken to the preliminary investigation body.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Committee of RA on the basis of Article 470, Part 3, Clause 1 and Article 457, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code, within the framework of which one of the organizers of illegal migration Ye.Kh. was arrested, and house arrest was applied to A.D. as a measure of restraint.

In addition, as a result of searches conducted in the apartments and workplaces of the persons arrested within the framework of the criminal case, copies of birth certificates, passports, bank transfer statements, computers, electronic media, seals, a notebook containing records of receipt of funds from various persons, etc. were found and seized.

Note: anyone charged with a crime is considered innocent as long as his/her guilt is not proven in a manner prescribed by the Code of Criminal Procedure of RA - by the court decision entered into legal force.
