On 27 March, Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenia Mrs. Lynne Tracy. 
Having welcomed the guests and thanked for the visit, A.Vanetsyan congratulated the Ambassador upon having taken the office and expressed his hope that the Armenian-American cooperation in the security field would become more active and new achievements would be made.
The NSS Director emphasized in his speech the importance of the fight jointly with US different agencies against international terrorist groups, cybercrimes, illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and radioactive materials, illegal migration, money laundering, and other crimes.
Having thanked for the reception, the US Ambassador L. Tracy stated that the meeting and discussion with the NSS Director were very important for the US party, and how the United States and Armenia could cooperate in the fight against corruption and other global challenges.
At the end of the meeting, the parties identified subsequent directions for cooperation and expressed their hope that the meeting would give new momentum to the bilateral cooperation.
