The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, pursuing consistent implementation of the functions vested upon it by the law and aimed at combating crime, as a result of the undertaken operational and search measures and investigative activities detected a case of making and realizing — with an intent to sell — forged official documents confirming a legal circumstance and granting a right.
So, as a result of operational and search measures, it has been established that a director of a limited liability company in RA, with an intent to sell, falsified, by copying, official documents confirming a legal circumstance and granting a right: certificates of entitlement "to drive a car with an autogas system" and certificates " of compliance of an autogas system installed in a vehicle", which he sold – for AMD 2500 each - to the citizens of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan – who had arrived in the Republic of Armenia to obtain a car – without actually installing autogas systems in their vehicles.
Besides, another citizen of the Republic of Armenia had obtained forged inspection stickers from a person - yet not identified by the investigation – paying AMD 1000 for each and sold each for AMD 4000 to the citizens of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, who had arrived in the Republic of Armenia to obtain a car.
According to the corresponding articles of the Criminal Code of RA, criminal case was initiated in the Investigation Department of the NSS of RA on the fact of an apparent crime; preliminary investigation is being conducted.
Note: The suspect or accused of an alleged crime is considered innocent as long as his guilt is not proven in a manner prescribed by the Code of Criminal Procedure of RA - by the court decision entered into legal force.
