The National Security Service being faithful to the principle of its working style being open and transparent during the implementation of the functions, taking into consideration the mass media publication and the public interest concerning criminal cases of Gagik Khachatryan in the Investigation Department of NSS RA and several individuals previously held high-ranking positions in the RA State Revenue Committee and the RA Ministry of Finance, informs that on 22.01.2020 decision of the First Instance Court concerning the accused Karen Khachatryan to replace arrest on bail for the amount of 20 million drams was turned down on 17.02.2020 by decision of RA Criminal Court of Appeal and the decision to release him on bail was considered inadmissible. Karen Khachatryan is currently   under arrest in the Penal Institution.
