Regarding the information disseminated yesterday evening about the presence of two Azerbaijanis near the Yerevan hospital complex "Muratsan", the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia officially reports that the information is not true.

As a result of complex operative-search measures taken by the National Security Service of RA, as well as search operations carried out jointly with representatives of the RA Police and local self-government bodies, the two foreigners noticed by the citizens were soon found.

During the relevant clarifications, no information was obtained regarding the connection of these persons with the opponent, their involvement in the ongoing military actions.

It was established that they are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan, who, due to circumstances, having temporarily arrived in the Republic of Armenia in March 2020, are still in the Republic of Armenia. They are workers, living in Yerevan on a rented basis, their departure from the Republic of Armenia was postponed due to the restrictions caused by the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The National Security Service of RA expresses its gratitude for the vigilance shown by our citizens and once again urges to immediately report any suspicious persons or phenomena to the relevant authorities.
