BORDER GUARD DAY WAS CELEBRATED IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLEX OF THE RA NSS BORDER GUARD TROOPS

April 26 is celebrated as Border Guard Day in the Republic of Armenia. On the occasion of the professional holiday, the event organized in the administrative complex of the RA NSS Border Guard Troops was attended by the director of the RA NSS A. Abazyan, the deputies director, officials, Commander of Border Guard Troops and guests.
The series of organized events launched with the sacred ceremony of consecration of the cross - stone (khachkar) immortalizing the memory of heroic border guards (with the participation of their relatives).
Afterwards, an official ceremony organized on Border Guard Day took place in the session hall of the administrative complex of Border Guard Troops, during which the RA NSS director A. Abazyan congratulated on the occasion of the professional holiday and noted that the RA NSS Border Guard Troops have passed a significant way in the history of newly independent Armenia, created their own biography and today, they proudly record the achievements and successes of the past.
The RA NSS director especially emphasized the heroic deeds of border guards and all the brave Armenians of the 2020 Artsakh war, as well as in different stages of the history of our homeland, he also said words of eternal glory and appreciation to their patriotic mission.
On the professional holiday, congratulations and remembrance messages were said by the Commander of the RA NSS Border Guard Troops A. Maralchyan, Head of the RF FSS Border Guard R. Golubitsky and the Chairman of the Veterans Association Council of Border Guard Troops H. Karapetyan.
Then, the relatives of heroic border guards were awarded the state awards by the director of the RA NSS.
The ceremony ended with a patriotic video about the courageous border guards.
On the occasion of Border Guard Day, a memorial corner was unveiled in the administrative complex of the RA NSS Border Guard Troops, immortalizing the names of the heroic border guards, a 13th century Armenian historical cross-stone (khachkar) moved from the territory of the N border detachment and placed there, aiming to symbolize the eternal march of the centuries-old and heroic history of the Armenian people.
