Border Guard Troops Hosted Competition in Shooting from Combat Firearms

From 23-26 August, 2022 in the administrative complex of the Border Guard Troops of the RA NSS a competition of the border guard departments of the CIS member states in shooting from combat firearms was held, in which the servicemen of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and the Border Guard Service of the Committee of the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part.
The solemn opening ceremony began to the sound of the RA anthem.
1st Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia - Chief of Staff, Colonel Arman Gasparyan delivered a welcoming speech, assuring that the participants will demonstrate a high level of training and skills, which will also be facilitated by a healthy spirit of combat competition.
Welcoming the participants of the competition and wishing them success, Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Service of the Council of Commanders of the Border Guard Troops, Major General Vladimir Moiseenko noted in his speech that the competition contributes not only to improving the skills of the participants, but also to friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation between the servicemen of the border guard of the CIS member states.
The main stages of the competition were held at the shooting range, where the participants of the competition demonstrated combat shooting exercises.
At the final stage of the competition, the results recorded by the teams were summed up. A solemn ceremony of awarding members of the teams representing the border guard departments of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Armenia took place. The winner was the Russian Federation, the second and third places were taken by the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia, respectively.
The representatives of the CIS member states expressed their gratitude, testifying that such events are an incentive for further cooperation and strengthening joint efforts between the member states.
