The 80th session of the Council of Commanders of the Border Guard Troops was held

The 80th session of the Council of Commanders of the Border Guard Troops of the CIS Member States took place in Tokmok, the Kyrgyz Republic on November 14.
Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia at the Council of Commanders were represented by Colonel Vaghinak Sargsyan, Commander of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia and Colonel Artur Nalbandyan, Commander's Assistant of external affairs of the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia.
Issues related to the situation prevailing at the external borders of the CIS member states of the Central Asian region, trends of its development and the results of the activities of the Council of Commanders of the Border Guard Troops were discussed in the session.
The Council of Commanders made a decision about several normative, organizational and personnel issues.
The commander of Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel Vaghinak Sargsyan, mentioned in the interview that the protection of borders in Armenia has its own specifics, as our country has no open borders with other CIS countries, he also said that the military operations in the Middle East cannot keep to influence the South Caucasus region, since the terrorists will always try to use this region to infiltrate the EU states.
