On 29 December, 2022, the regular, last in 2022, meeting of the Interagency Commission on Issues of Prisoners of Wars, Hostages and Missing Persons, headed by the Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Major General A. Abazyan, was held, which, in addition to the members of the Commission, was also attended by a representative of the delegation of the International Committee Red Cross in Armenia Nicole Nasen.

During the meeting, the progress of the study of applications received from parents and relatives of prisoners of wars and missing persons was presented by the Chairman of the Interagency Commission A. Abazyan, those problems that require an immediate solution were highlighted.

During the meeting, issues related to the social needs of the families of prisoners of wars and missing persons, problems related to the identification of persons according to DNA tests, the investigation into the circumstances of the disappearance of persons, and possible solutions were discussed.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Commission, A. Abazyan, informed that on December 30 he would meet with family members of prisoners of wars and missing persons who had submitted applications to the Commission. The meeting ended with clear instructions given to the members of the Commission, with the condition of summarizing the results of their implementation.
