On the transfer of primary information by the National Security Service of RA to other competent authorities, as well as on the progress of initiated criminal proceedings during 2022

During the reporting period, as a result of the implementation of the functions assigned by law, the National Security Service of RA transferred 1862 materials to various competent state bodies of RA, on the basis of which 470 criminal cases were initiated.

249 materials were sent to the competent state bodies of RA on violations committed in the economic sphere, some of which are still under investigation, of which 117 are on abuse of official position and embezzlement, 92 are on various violations in the field of economic activity, including smuggling or import under false invoices, as well as tax and duty evasion, 30 - payment of wages to an actually not working person, 10 - illegal provision of compensation.

84 materials were sent to the competent state bodies of RA on violations committed in the field of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, some of which are still under investigation, of which 45 are on the smuggling or sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, 39 are on illegal use of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.

During the reporting year, the investigators of the Investigation Department of the NSS of RA had 1105 criminal proceedings, of which 443 criminal proceedings were initiated by the investigators of the Department, 42 were separated into a separate proceeding, 268 were received from other bodies, 278 criminal proceedings were resumed, 5 were initiated by the prosecutor of the given district , 1 - returned by the prosecutor for additional investigation, and 68 criminal cases were transferred from 2021 to 2022.

During the reporting period, out of the criminal proceedings investigated in the proceedings of the Investigation Department, 79 proceedings against 116 persons were sent to the court, 129 criminal proceedings against 10 persons were terminated, 54 criminal proceedings were suspended, 435 criminal proceedings against 105 persons were sent under investigative jurisdiction, 116 proceedings have been merged with other proceedings investigated by the ID, preliminary investigations are ongoing in 292 criminal proceedings.

During the mentioned period, in criminal proceedings, including proceedings transferred from previous years, in which a preliminary investigation was carried out in the Investigation Department of the NSS of RA, the total amount of damage caused by crimes, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 34.871.179.017 AMD, of which the amount of the initial damage caused to the state amounted to 32.144.587.787 AMD, to legal entities - 704.639.069 AMD, and to individuals - 2.021.952.161 AMD.

At the same time, during the preliminary investigation stage, a total of 14.351.883.303 AMD was recovered in the mentioned- including completed- proceedings, of which 5.278.456.073 AMD in total during 2022 alone, out of the damage caused to the state, 5.007.884.856 AMD, and from the damage caused to legal entities - 270.571.217 AMD.
