As a result of research conducted on the Internet by RA National Security Service, it was established that an advertising video is being distributed on the pages of social networks that the citizens of RA allegedly can earn large amounts of money by “selling gas” and making small financial investments in the “securities” of the “Gazprom Armenia” company.

In addition, it was established that besides the above-mentioned actions, the RA citizens, noticing the promotional video about the job with high salary offered by “Gazprom” company on the page “Way to success”   via “Instagram” and “Facebook” websites, in order to take advantage of the "profitable" offer, they provided their personal data, after which allegedly the employees of "Gazprom" contacted the latter via “Whatsapp” in order to discuss details of the work.

Back on 6 June, 2022 the Central Bank of RA published an announcement in which particularly noted “On the basis of a forged license of a specialized participant in the securities market, some persons acting on behalf of "Gazprom Armenia" CJSC are trying to attract customers in the Republic of Armenia by offering investment programs through a public promotion. Taking into consideration that the mentioned company carries out unlicensed activity and is not under the supervision of the Central Bank, we urge to be vigilant, not to trust and not to react to similar offers refraining from establishing any business relationship under the mentioned offer”.

Studies conducted at the National Security Service of RA also showed that even after the warning issued by the Central Bank of RA, users continue to provide their personal data: phone number, email address and bank account.

The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia calls on citizens to avoid and refrain from the temptation to participate in a fraudulent scheme of international standards, from offers to invest in dubious programs published in unofficial websites, and also not to provide personal data and bank account data in order to avoid financial losses.
