In order to recruit officers with professional education, the Border Guard Troops of the NSS of RA announces admission for male citizens of RA aged 17-18 with secondary education, as well as those who have completed mandatory military service up to the age of 23 to undergo training at the Kurgan and Kaliningrad border guard institutes of the Federal Security Service of the RF and at recently opened stream of the border guard service of the Military University after V. Sargsyan of the Ministry of Defense of RA.

The term of study at the border guard institutes of RF is five years, and at the University after V. Sargsyan - four years. The costs of training, accommodation and travel are covered by the National Security Service. Graduates, having received the military rank of lieutenant, enter service of the Border Guard Troops of the NSS of RA and are provided with a free apartment in Yerevan.
