On the transfer of primary information by the RA National Security Service to other competent authorities, as well as on the progress of the initiated criminal proceedings in January-March 2023

During the reporting period, as a result of the implementation of the functions assigned by law, 287 materials were transferred to various competent state bodies of the RA by the RA National Security Service, on the basis of which 98 criminal proceedings were initiated.

66 materials on violations committed in the economic sphere were sent to the competent state bodies of the RA, some of which are still under investigation, of which 19 are about abuse of official position and embezzlement, 33 are about various violations in the field of economic activity, including smuggling or import under false invoices, as well as tax and duty evasion, 10 - payment of wages to an actually not working person, 4 - illegal provision of compensation.

23 materials were sent to the competent state bodies of the RA on violations committed in the field of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, some of which are still under investigation, of which 17 are on the smuggling or sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, 6-on illegal use of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.

During the mentioned period, there were 524 criminal proceedings in the proceedings of the investigators of the Main Directorate of Investigation of the RA NSS, of which 140 criminal proceedings were initiated by the investigators of the Department, 39 criminal proceedings were received from other bodies, 53 criminal proceedings were resumed, and 292 criminal proceedings were transferred from 2022.

During the reporting period, out of the criminal proceedings investigated in the proceedings of the Main Directorate of Investigation, 30 criminal proceedings against 46 persons were sent to the court, 18 were terminated, 143 criminal proceedings were sent pursuant to investigative subordination, 35 criminal proceedings were merged with other proceedings investigated by the Directorate, preliminary investigation on 298 criminal proceedings continues.

During the mentioned period, in criminal proceedings initiated and investigated in the Main Directorate of Investigation of the RA NSS, according to preliminary assessment, the total amount of damage caused by crimes was 10.739.734.946 AMD, of which the amount of initial damage caused to the state was 10.694.183.325 AMD, to legal entities - 38.591.621 AMD, and to natural persons - 6.960.000 AMD.

At the same time, at the preliminary investigation stage 43.036.149 AMD was recovered  from the mentioned damage caused to the state.
