On July 13, 2023 a regular session of Interagency Commission on Issues of Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons (location unknown), chaired by the Director of the National Security Service of RA, Major General A. Abazyan, was held, which, in addition to the members of the Commission, was attended by the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia, Thierry Ribaux, a group of parents and relatives who represent the interests of families of missing persons.

During the session the Commission approved the Concept on missing persons (location unknown), prisoners of war, the results of the investigation into the circumstances of the disappearance, the work carried out with victims, as well as with persons with DNA identification were discussed.

The members of the Commission presented their work done, as well as answered questions raised by the parents, relatives which related to the fate of forcibly disappeared persons, the importance of proper presentation of their cases in international instances, upcoming work, the investigation of the RA Investigative Committee into circumstances of the disappearance, the involvement of parents in the process, problems associated with individuals with DNA identification.

In order to thoroughly discuss individual issues, during the session agreements were reached to hold routine meetings between individual members of the Commission and a group of parents, the results of which should be presented to the Commission.
