On the transfer of primary information by the RA National Security Service to other competent bodies, as well as on the progress of initiated criminal proceedings for January-June 2023

During the reporting period, as a result of the implementation of the functions assigned by law, 637 materials were transfered to various RA competent state bodies by the RA National Security Service, on the basis of which 273 criminal proceedings were initiated.

About violations committed in the economic sphere, 164 materials were sent to the competent state bodies of the RA, some of which are still at the investigation stage, of which 64 are about abuse of official position and misappropriation, 74 are about various violations in the field of economic activity, including smuggling or importation under false invoices, as well as evasion of taxes and duties, 19 - payment of wages to an actually working person, 7 - illegal provision of compensation.

59 materials on violations committed in the area of illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were sent to the competent state bodies of the RA, some of which are still at the investigation stage, of which 42 are about smuggling or sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, 17 - illegal use of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.

During the specified period, investigators of the Main Directorate of Investigation of the RA NSS had 1194 criminal proceedings, of which 318 criminal proceedings were initiated by investigators of the Directorate, 76 criminal proceedings were received from other bodies, 508 criminal proceedings were resumed, and 292 criminal proceedings were transferred from 2022.

During the reporting period, from the criminal proceedings investigated in the proceedings of the Main Directorate of Investigation, 71 criminal proceedings were sent to the court in relation to 117 persons, 45 were terminated, 488 criminal proceedings were sent under investigative jurisdiction, 90 proceedings were combined with other proceedings investigated in the Directorate, procedural and evidentiary actions have been completed in 391 proceedings, and preliminary investigations in 109 criminal proceedings have been continued.

During the mentioned period, according to the criminal proceedings initiated and investigated in the Main Directorate of Investigation of the RA NSS, the total amount of damage caused by the crimes, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 15.679.975.057 AMD, of which the amount of initial damage caused to the state amounted to 11.567.717.001 AMD, to legal entities – 1.315.460.972 AMD, and to individuals - 2.796.797.084 AMD.

At the same time, at the stage of preliminary investigation, 56.072.649 AMD were restored from the specified damage caused to the state.
