A solemn ceremony of taking the Military Oath by conscripts took place in the N military unit of the Border Guard Troops of the RA National Security Service.
The event was attended by Deputy Director of the RA NSS Major General Aram Hakobyan, First Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Troops of the RA NSS Colonel Edgar Hunanyan, representatives of the regional units of the RA National Security Service and others.
The ceremony began to the sounds of the RA anthem.
The conscripts performed the anthem of the Border Guard Troops of the RA NSS.
The main protocol part of the symbolic event - the solemn ceremony of taking the oath - took place under the battle flag on the parade ground of the unit. The conscripts read out the text of the military oath, swore in front of their commanders and parents to serve the Motherland with selfless devotion, proudly and selflessly, to defend the country’s borders with honor, to unconditionally carry out the orders of their superior commanders, assuring that they would do everything possible to ensure the security of the state border.
The First Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Troops of the RA NSS Colonel Edgar Hunanyan, congratulating the conscripts on the significant day, wished them a peaceful and safe service: “By taking the oath today, you have taken upon yourself a great responsibility that will accompany you throughout your entire service. Therefore, I congratulate you on this solemn event. I am confident that by continuing to serve in different directions of the state border, with your vigilance and devotion you will make the borders of our Motherland more impregnable and protected.”
At the end of the ceremony, conscripts of the Border Guard Troops demonstrated special tactics and hand-to-hand combat techniques, and the Cynology Center demonstrated exercises with service dogs to detect an explosive device, detain and neutralize a border violator who has gone on the run.
