Regarding the transfer of primary information by the National Security Service of RA to other competent authorities, as well as on the progress of initiated criminal proceedings during January-September 2023

During the reporting period, as a result of the implementation of the functions assigned by law, 941 materials were transferred to various competent state bodies of the Republic of Armenia by the National Security Service of RA, on the basis of which 456 criminal proceedings were initiated.

215 materials were sent to the competent state bodies of RA on violations in the economic sphere, some of which are still under investigation, of which 80 are about abuse and misappropriation of official powers, 100 are about various violations of economic activity, including for smuggling or illegal import on false invoices, as well as on tax and duty evasion, 25 - on the payment of wages to an actually not working person, 10-on illegal provision of compensation.

82 materials were sent to the competent state bodies of RA on violations in the field of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, some of which are still under investigation, of which 57 are on the smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances or misappropriation, 25 are on the illegal consumption of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.

During the indicated period, there were 1339 criminal proceedings in the proceedings of the investigators of the Investigation Department of the NSS RA, of which 425 criminal proceedings were initiated by the investigators of the Department, 108 criminal proceedings were received from other bodies, 514 criminal proceedings were resumed, and 292 criminal proceedings were transferred from 2022.

During the reporting period, out of the investigated criminal cases being processed by the Investigation Department, 92 criminal proceedings against 157 persons were sent to the court, 66 were terminated, 539 criminal proceedings were sent under investigative subordination, 110 criminal proceedings were joined to other criminal proceedings being examined in the Department, procedural and evidentiary actions were completed in 404 proceedings, and the preliminary investigation of 128 criminal proceedings was continued.

According to the preliminary assessment, during the mentioned period, according to the criminal proceedings initiated and investigated by the Investigation Department of the RA NSS, the total amount of damage caused by crimes amounted to 20.442.866.512 AMD, of which the amount of initial damage caused to the state amounted to 15.692.522.484 AMD, for legal entities – 1.580.241.043 AMD, and for individuals – 3.170.102.985 AMD.

At the same time, at the preliminary investigation stage, 394.746.649 AMD was recovered from the specified damage caused to the state.
