From May 24, 2024, the Border Guard Troops of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia officially assume the protection of the sections of the state border of the Republic of Armenia - 1.9 km of the Berkaber settlement and 4.9 km of the Voskepar and Baghanis settlements of the Tavush province of the Republic of Armenia.
The protection of the state border of the 5.8 km section of the Kirants settlement will be carried out according to the transitional scheme until July 24, 2024.
According to the same logic, from May 24, 2024, the protection of the opposite border sections from the side of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be carried out by the units of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
