As a result of operative-search activities carried out by the National Security Service of RA, factual data was obtained that N. M., under the martial law declared in the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia on September 27, 2020, being appointed to the position of deputy platoon commander of the communications battalion of N military unit of the DA, serving at combat position N, transferred to the protection of the military unit, together with the sergeant major of the same combat position, disseminated among his fellow soldiers on combat duty false information about an agreement allegedly reached by the RA authorities on the surrender of territories, expressing the opinion that under such conditions there was no point in them fighting and carrying out the combat mission assigned to them.

The National Security Service of RA informs that these days the personal accounts and pages of some Armenian users on the www.facebook.com social network are being hacked by the opponent and through them actions are being taken to create contradictions among the Armenian public, to split the society, to sow ideological differences, as well as to cause panic by distributing various messages on these pages.

The National Security Service of RA, based on the requirements of the RA Government Decree No 1586-N of September 27, 2020 “On Declaring Martial Law in the Republic of Armenia”, has repeatedly called on the media, individuals or individual political analysts to refrain from disseminating disinformation or slanderous information that undermines the internal unity of society, through the media or other public means, however, some individuals, even in wartime conditions, continue to exhibit unacceptable behavior, putting their own interests above the security interests of the state.

The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia continues to wage a consistent and effective fight in the direction of detecting, preventing and suppressing the intelligence activities of special services of foreign states directed against the sovereignty, territorial integrity and external security of the Republic of Armenia, during which, thanks to the effective service of the RA Police officers, as well as the vigilance of citizens, foreign citizens were apprehended on suspicion of espionage in the territory of the Republic of Armenia and brought to the National Security Service of RA.

WARNING against the use of unmanned aerial vehicles

The National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia strictly warns all individuals and organizations that during these days it is necessary to completely exclude the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of any type and size that can cause a feeling of anxiety in society.

OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION

Regarding the information disseminated yesterday evening about the presence of two Azerbaijanis near the Yerevan hospital complex "Muratsan", the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia officially reports that the information is not true.
